This is my current set of Android Emulators:

• 1 Android emulator with Play Store and a recent API to be the Play Store puller device.
• 1 Android emulator using an image from the x86 tab without Play Store and with an old API (API level 20 to 24) to work as the rooted device. It looks like newer images without Play Store work with the adb root and adb unroot commands while older ones are always rooted and can't be unrooted.
