Personal Site

Astro TailwindCSS DaisyUI

As I started my journey in Application Security I started thinking about creating an online presence as well. The plan was to:

  • give back to the community on GitHub;
  • update the LinkedIn profile;
  • create a small portfolio website.

For the website, started searching for technical documentation platforms that would allow importing my AppSec notes in Markdown format. The first option, inspired by Alex Olsen from TCM Security, was gitbook.io. But it felt somehow limiting and not customizable enough. That’s when I stumbled upon Astrofy, a template for personal portfolio websites.

Astrofy is built with:

  • Astro (a JS framework)
  • TailwindCSS
  • DaisyUI

The content can be written in HTML with DaisyUI Components and TailwindCSS or in plain Markdown. Easy enough and an adequate tool for the job.

And here we are! In my first personal website dedicated to application security. I will be creating a DevSecOps pipeline (and maybe publish a post about it in the future) to handle security and automatic deployments of the site and to apply what I preach.

If you find the website useful, please feel free to share it on social media and get in touch!
